Help Friends of Third Support Our School!


Friends of Third helps Third Street Elementary School maintain a very high level of educational achievement for its students, despite ongoing cuts to the school budget.  

Your contribution to Friends of Third will help us continue to provide much-needed programs for our wonderful school.  To learn more about many of the programs funded by Friends of Third, please view the "Our Programs" menu at the top of this page.

Friends of Third asks for a tax-deductible contribution of $625 per child to the Friends of Third Annual Giving Fund.  Last year, 51% of Third Street families participated and we are always hoping for even greater engagement. Contribution to the Annual Giving Fund is optional for families at Third Street; regardless of ability to contribute, ALL students will be able to participate in any class/school activity.

However, if enough money cannot be raised, these programs will be at risk of modification or elimination because they are entirely community-supported (with no funds coming from the Los Angeles Unified School District).  Please try to participate at some level! 

Friends of Third is run by volunteers so nearly 100% of the money we raise goes directly into the classrooms.  Please review the giving options for Friends of Third in the right-hand column of this page.

Annual Giving: One-Time Contributions

To make a one-time contribution to Friends of Third, you can leave a check in the Friends of Third box in the school office.  Checks should be payable to "Friends of Third" with a note "Annual Giving - Your Child's Name / Grade".

Annual Giving: Recurring Contributions

To make a monthly recurring payment to the Friends of Third Annual Giving campaign, complete the form below.  Enter the monthly amount to be charged to your credit card, as well as the total number of monthly payments you would like to make.

The payment page will list your first payment, which will process on the next business day. Subsequent payments will then process each month on that same day. Once you have set up your recurring payment, you will be contacted by Tara Brancato by email to sign an authorization form for Friends of Third to keep on file.
