Every Reader is a Star!

For one week each December, our library is transformed into a magical lair of fun and adventure.  The Scholastic Book Fair brings books right to our students with a wide selection at affordable prices.   Every class visits the book fair for students to see the selection, make purchases or create a wish list.  Teachers create wish lists which parents can use to stock their child's classroom shelves.  It is the perfect place to do holiday shopping.  Families also generously purchase books for the charitable Toy Drive.

One night during the week of Book Fair,  we'll stay open late for Winter Family Night so families can shop, indulge in food truck delights, check out silent auction offerings, and enjoy the 4th/5th Grade orchestra's Winter Concert.  Heat lamps keep people cozy while they enjoy their dinner.  All proceeds raised help support our school, including library and school literacy programs.

Be an All Star Volunteer!

Book Fair

Thank you to all our past, present and future  Scholastic Book Fair volunteers! Our great success rests on the shoulders of those parents who give their time to sell, stock and supervise during the week.

We are always seeking a crew of dedicated volunteers for the Book Fair.  Join other parent volunteers to help students during their class visits, ring up sales, organize displays and more.  We have a shift that can work for anyone: morning, noon or night -- whatever you can offer, we will be happy to accept.  Contact Book Fair co-chairs Heeli Kim-Jeng and Tim Hill at info@friendsofthird.org if you're interested.
